The content for the MindFit programme is focused around key attributes of the human brain.

Because the human brain is the most complex organism in the known universe, consisting of approximately 86 billion cells, the content is initially split into 3 areas:

  • Inputs into the brain

  • Processes of the brain

  • Outputs from the brain

The picture above highlights the subject matter for the workshops, and each workshop is an exploration into what we know about that particular subject generally, and also how that particular subject impacts people individually.

Taking for example, the subject of beliefs.  We look at what a belief is, why they seem to be universal, the power beliefs have to be both positive and negative. We explore the individual beliefs each delegate has, where it originated, and finally, the impact that belief has had on that person's life and whether they wish to keep or change a specific belief going forward.

The programme builds workshop by workshop, cross-referencing different elements of brain function and how they interact, so that delegates become more knowledgeable about human brains in general and their own brain in particular.

Because most of other people's brain function is invisible to us, all we see is their behaviour, one of the impacts of the workshops is to reduce our tendency to rush to judgement, and be more open to exploring what is causing a behaviour, particularly in those cases where the behaviour is negative, or leading to negative results.

This has positive impacts in collaboration, teamwork and project management, and has led to delegates reporting a significant change in management technique and style.
